	Mines Swing Dance Troupe The Slide Rulers are Mines' performance Swing Dance team. Typically, we will practice throughout the entire spring semester to compete in the annual Inter-Collegiate Swing Battle! The competition consists of performing a choreographed routine to a song that we get to pick out. Competing is a great way to get better at swing dancing and to meet people! This year we are unsure of whether or not we'll be conducting try outs in order to get on the team, but please contact us if you are interested in joining the team! The Slide Rulers at E-Days 2008 Performance Videos 2008 - The 2008 Inter-collegiate Swing Battle was held on the CSU campus and we were the first team to perform. The song we performed to was called Mr. Zoot Suit by Ingrid Lucia and the Flying Neutrinos. We practiced from the beginning of the Spring semester up until the performance in April and unfortunately were unable to place. The winner was CSU, with the runners up from New Mexico and CU Boulder. The Slide Rulers at the 08 Inter-collegiate Swing Battle
