Great Sand Dunes National Park Field Trip
When: April 17-19, 2009
Dr. Mary Carr (CSM Research Faculty) has graciously agreed to be our field trip leader.
Mary is an eolian processes expert and leads PTTC. Our very own Ria Brunhart-Lupo has
also agreed to help lead this trip, as this area is part of her dissertation research.
This will be a wonderful opportunity to learn about eolian dune formation, sedimentation
processes, and reservoir characteristics.

AAPG and SPE Toy Drive
Thank you for making the AAPG Student Chapter and the SPE Student Chapter joint Holiday
Toy Drive a success. We collected about 200 toys from donation boxes on campus. All of the
toys collected benefited families in need served by the Jefferson Center for Mental Health
(JCMH). The chapter and JCMH would like to thank everyone who donated for their generosity.
